Full name

Last week (2013-Oct-25), my son pronounced his full name 'Manur Deva'. 'Deva' being my dad's first half of the name, I selected it as second half of his name. While 'Manu' is from Bhagawat Gita stances; meaning: father of mankind.

We visited my son @his grandma's place. He was so happy for those 2 days. We got down from cab, as if he was awaiting our arrival, he jumped onto me hugged me so much and kisssed all over me. He dint go to any body else for quite some time until he was assure we are not leaving him.

My mother-in-law takes care of him very well. They are like tom & jerry. He is so attached to his grandpa & mama. @New place, during his 1st 2 days of play school visit, he cried . Usually, my son never cries while going to play school. People will be amazed to see a small infant not crying on his early schooling days or new place without parents. Sometimes, he cries after watching other kids cry loud. My wife told him to go to school by smiling, then he understood and did a 'eee' in his face and said 'school'. We were all laughing !

He understands everything we converse now. He started asking 'what is this?' type questions like 4-5 year olds. He is fast even considering his gen kids.

A father missing his son

World has many wonders for us in every phase of life. Once of it is becoming dad. It is an amazing feeling being a father.  My son, Manur deva who is 1 year 10 months now is the gift of my life.

First time when my Manu (my son) cried during vaccination, I felt the pain in my heart. I cried without showing my face to doctor.  And later, in several occasions when he cried during ear piercing function or whenever he hurts himself severely, I tend to get tears in my eyes. My friends/family know me as tough guy but deep inside, I think I am so tender. Or I don’t know if this is a common trait among dads but it never comes out so openly. Or maybe this could be evolution of next gen dadas.

First time, when Manu called me ‘appa’ (dad), you should feel the height of happiness flowing in my body. Man, I have seen this scene in movies but never felt a thing then. Manu is quick to grasp things. His interest lies in automobiles, the sound it creates & he is more interested in wheels; how it rotates. First word from his mouth was ‘ball’. When we go for walking daily, I used repeat all the vehicle names, showing street light in the road. Asking him to repeat after me. We will be highly excited when he suddenly repeats after you.
We got him baby’s first 100 words book. He was more into car, van, vehicles etc., Its a guy thing. He used to ask me names of each of it again & again repeatedly, like 50-100 times a day. In due course, He started repeating first syllable in each word with me. He identified almost all the vehicles in that book. Soon, we had to get him more books with pictures of vegetables, vehicles, animals’ categories. My wife got him an animal rhyme CD which is his favourite till now. He quickly learnt all the animal names & identified them in any place.

Recently, Manu started serving me food during dinner. He would ask me softly ‘buvva’ (food) with shaking his head up & down. It would be so cute that you would love to say yes even if you are not hungry. Then he goes & asks my mother or my wife whoever is preparing food. Until they come out with food, he would nag them with ‘appa, buvva’ words. When eating he would sit beside me as ask me if I need ‘kai’ (vegetables) and serve me with his tiny hands & spoon , dropping few to the floor & serving it exactly in veg place in plate. One day he was feeding me veggies, I was so full after that. I dint stop him as I loved him doing it but ended with heavy stomach J. The other day he served ‘sambar’ until it was overflowing my plate. When my wife encountered him asking what about mommy, he said ‘dont’, ‘wait’ etc., avoiding her. Haha it was funny for me.

In old times, dads were seen as scary person and moms used to threaten their children with dire consequences when they don’t do their homework or due to any misbehaviour. Unlike today, in old times, there were more joint families than nuclear families or atleast all your relatives, extended family would be in close proximity so that your child gets more time with them than you. Nuclear family vs joint family could also be a reason here where dad gets more connection with the child than in those times where kids will be with grand parents or with any relatives. In many cases, Dad’s won’t know even the class/section of his kid which was common in those times. When you change the diaper, take him to school, part, playground, malls, etc., there seems to grow connection between dad & kid.

I remember watching a debate once in TV channel. The topic: @Which is highest ecstasy of happiness being a loving parent or at the receiving end as a child@. The conclusion saw the winner as being a parent & pampering children than being pampered.  I was wondering how it will turn out for me then. Now, I can say that being a parent is a blessing, a real ecstasy in life.

I am writing this as I am missing my son dearly now. Due to unforeseen circumstances he is away from me for a while. And  I am missing him so much !!

super speed to super slow

My average speed is 40 kmph now-a-days... Poor me..
Its half(80kmph) of my city riding speed and 1/3rd(120kmph) of my highway speed.
I am searching in my history books about my Fast & Furious nature.

I am a family man now.. yo yo

I am not sad about it. I enjoy slow riding at 40kmph on my BULL-et. Now, I am aware of number of speed breakers which were once non-existing parts of road to me(as my friends say).

Train - Incident

Romeo was traveling in train with his friends.
http://balajeestalkamania.blogspot.com/2010/03/train-friends-journey-of-life.html

This time it was not a pleasant journey for him. Romeo was challenged physically by a couple of drunkards. First 2 hours of journey went chatting, making fun & enjoying with friends. People were gathering near the entrance to get down at next station. Nobody thought a simple Hi5 could end up in physical fists ;) ..

Romeo was approached by a drunkard who asked him to Hi5. At first, Romeo thought he is playing cool with 2 of his friends around him. But then suddenly he realized the smell of alcohol. So he turned down the offer and looked down in order to avoid direct conversation with him. But fate had something else for him. Romeo tried to look somewhere until this drunkard gets down at next station as it was mobbed and rushy where he was sitting. Then suddenly Romeo felt a heavy hand blow on his head. In couple of seconds even Romeo dint know what happened there. Romeo had him shoulder locked and kept him immovable and had him bent below his waist. Oh my.. its his reflex.. he can’t help it. Its definitely so fast to hurt people.

Romeo tried recollecting what has happened so fast. He gave that drunken fellow few punches in torso and instead of hurting him in skull he twisted his elbow and applied a reverse locked on his shoulder eventually in order to make him unmovable. But he was well built guy and was trying hard to push him aside. By this time Romeo knows its too late to settle the matter softly also he knows he can’t hold this big guy for long time too as his friends were also nearby who were shouting at him to release him and were about to pound on him. So Romeo gave him few heavy elbow blows back side of his skull and pushed him away from him to avoid him bouncing back at him. Next, Romeo was defending the other guys who were trying to hit him.

By that time people gathered around and held every1 whoever involved in that fight. People were shouting and this drunkard was still challenging to come at him and bounced back at Romeo with full energy. Romeo held the elbow and locked him again from where he can easily break his elbow with one single move and warned him too. He was not in a condition to realize all that but his friends and others in train ask Romeo to stop this fight so Romeo had to released him. They were still exchanging wordy fight judging their actions. It was over when the group got down in next station.

Everything happened in flash of a minute. The consternation in people's mind around the coach was audible. One elderly man came from next box & appreciated the action of Romeo to come up & showing some guts to stopped that drunken idiot who was mocking and making few angry before reaching Romeo’s seat. Finally he had to get the right answer from Romeo. Though few people showed dismay and were telling it is dangerous to beat a drunken man as he can die instantly. Mostly every1 were supporting Romeo for his actions that day. Elderly lady clearly was observing all this from the beginning told aloud that it was really fair punishment. Romeo was satisfied on hearing some1 calling him "Train Hero".

And to answer the question beating the drunken man, well, Romeo’s friends were there to support him saying that he knows the anatomy very well so he knows where not to beat a drunken man. The quote "Sometimes people only understand fistful language" stays true..

ALL ABOUT WOMEN - A play @ RangaShankara

Enjoyed a great time as expected from the theater. This time I was lucky enough not to miss this one as 5 point someone last time.

The plot is as it is in the above picture... 5 Different stories yet well connected in telling all about women. Dialogues were excellent and simple.. suitable for larger audience though they are elite group. It keeps u engrossed through out the play.

I liked many parts, witty usage of certain words, ... "superficial adjective",

Female 1#: Do u worry abt any other thing apart from food?..
Female 2#: No, I dont, actually. (hehe.. was a harsh nose cut)

scene 1:
3 freaked out ladies, married were njoyin satrday nite party, with drinks involves in office gossips, abt each other husbands n kids. At one point they started singing " What if I am Horny and my husband cant see, la la la " .. haha

scene 2:
2 gulz sharing apartment, one gets possessiveness on other, influencing all decisions abt her life. She even keeps her roomie away from her own mother for more than 5 years brainwashing that her mom is the one who screwed her life. She even instructs her for keeping a platter on table for placing coffee cup or where too keep her legs, how to use bathroom, how to talk.. etc.,

scene3:
Sisterly fight. 1 mom n 2 sisters. Sisters wouldnt have talked to each other for more than 7 years. Yet to find the complete reason. They happened to meet at their mother's apartment on her 60th BDay party. Of course, arranged by her mother to rejoin them. She asks each of them not to fight today as she wants her children beside her on her bday and njoi it peacefully.

Scene4:
Old Age Home: Grand ma of the scene3 gals would be joining an old age home hoping to find her 4 th potential life partner at the age of 79. ;) :) It was totally funny. Audience were laughing n applauding more for this part.

How complex and stupid can a mind be..

After interacting with so many girls in his life, now Romeo almost think like a girl. Oh wait…nothing wrong with him... hehe.. I mean he started worrying too much for others. Being very soft is not in his nature.

Romeo told in his style, Buddha was married and bugged by his wife and his subjects so he ran away like many in present world who are following Buddha atleast in one part, the running away from wife or family part. I thought to interrupt him but I was so curious to know the reason behind his sudden enlightenment, so allowed him to continue his mini philosophy.

Romeo continued his crash course as if he lived 100 years old vice man. Bonding is the primary reason for pain. He allowed it knowingly that the damage is certain. He realized the possibility of getting hurt is high when humans become soft and vulnerable. It takes time to heal those burnt wounds. Making a human bond is the core reason for pain. Never make a bond which gives you pain or never trust your heart to those people who are gonna trash it…

Now, he got to know what Buddha told and why he told all those stuffs to keep away from human relationships… No he can’t break the entire bond he made so far with all humans. That’s not possible for now atleast.

U know girls always say the following words when their thinking stops “give me my space” as if u stole it... A friend suggested me to watch ‘Because I said so’ to know more abt these words. Hmmm..It was a good movie. Recently he was receiving these kinds of requests very often. I wanna console Romeo by saying, keep it kool dude… he was already in pain and now that I doubt him on his thinking like a girl part... so I gave him his space before he starts shouting at me.. yo yo..  As a long term friend I know him very well. He is always kind and innocent type of guy, a tailor made for getting hurt. I used to warn him but left that thought thinking not to change him. He creates bonds easily and cares for them. That’s wat he is. ..

I actually drafted this article 2 days back. I got the confirmation abt his girly views from 2 of his friends and there was an article published abt sayings of Buddha in Times Of India. Is that a coincidence or I was right abt him.

Decorated Hypocrisy

According to definition a hypocrite is a person who pretends to be what he is not. The positive way to say about a hypocrite is adding a little incognito lie to a fact and making it an enjoyable one. For example, The Sherlock Homes, by Sir Arthur Canon Doyle is actually derived from real case studies assisted by the author himself in real life. We can identify him as Dr.Watson from the fiction who assists the lead fictional character, Holmes. It is believed as loose biography of his own detective cases partially worked with most famous Scotland Yard police as a forensic doctor. The famous address #221B Baker Street, London, where Sherlock Holmes runs his private detective agency was visited by millions of people asking for fictional character, Sherlock Holmes, to solve their real world problems. What an influence!!! He was one of my favorite characters in my childhood. I will be reading Sherlock homes even without food for a day and finished almost all the volumes in short time. Our observation of people & things we see round will change dramatically from then. You can see even in-depth notions of eyes. It’s like reading human minds or events from the facts which will be developed many folds within us.

The other way of hypocrite could be deceiving people away from the facts for their personal advantage. For example, Nithyananda, one who called himself “God Man” !? People (engg, doctors, judges, phds, etc.,) believed him as reincarnation of god on earth. I should give him that. I always have the curiosity to know the teachings or principles of any kind. Ordinary humans always need guidance and help to run their lives. He taught the same principles, yoga, meditations, chakras etc., as available anywhere in India. I was wondering what made people trust him. Not sure about the scholars who were under his influence (including my friend’s family).

People lost trust in honesty. They are no more interested in honesty or integrity. Truth never catches the eye. One day I was telling my friend I am taking dentist appointment to remove my wisdom tooth she was partially listening without interest. Day before the appointment, by chance I reminded her that I won’t come for lunch with you tomorrow. I got a question mark face as an answer. Now I know she dint remember anything I discussed. To make it exciting I said I am going to meet a girl so took off. Her eyes were brighten suddenly, interested in my story asked me all the details about the girl. This is what happens in the bigger picture. Hey, hey… wait.. I am not saying that somebody doesn’t listen to my cavity problems and so there is no hope for truth. The point is truth is not as exciting as a flavored lie.

Sometimes truth has no value neither exciting as a pretty lie with added incognito flavors. I think it remains same for the love part also. When you convey it honestly, people tend to speculate how can that be possible... it all looks totally unreal!!! ... How can such a love exist in the real world? They lose hope making a bad influence to others too.

If we refer history, honest people always lived a simple life, like an open book. Not necessarily innocent. They keep things simple and smiling……..

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010)

A Review:

First of all, after watching the making & trailers, somehow perceived the story line,.. :P I promised myself never to watch this movie. I am fond of Greek Mythology, even own Iliad & Odyssey, the Great Greek epics. I dont wanna witness these film makers messing it up with their dumb witted ideas. But I was dragged into watching it. It was the only movie which was available on last week. In fact I initiated this movie idea and found myself in the net ;), cant help it.

The initial part of the movie was okay okay type with the next generation of Demi-Gods having common parent-child problems among them. Then comes the Americanization of the Greek myth. I was really frustrated when they showed the Hell’s portal beside Holly Wood and the most dim-witted funny part was depicting Empire state Building as entrance to Mt.Olympus ( I would have sued this film makers if I was a Greek Born). Next was the lamb guy, the protector, dancing in a Las Vegas Casino with goat legs, Don’t know how they can think about this kind of disgusting & totally idiotic thoughts.

At Max, 10 minutes was really entertaining when they relate themselves with older generations, while using Medusa’s Head against Hydra (really kool part) and the CG was nice while using water as weapon.

It is definitely no where near to Harry potter series or Narnia or any related fantasy-myth stories. Totally, a no-Brain movie, no fun movie which won’t even entertain a 5 year old kid (may be only Americans can relate it)

Train Friends - A journey of life

Romeo happen to find great variety of friends while traveling in train. It goes as a part of analyzing or just chit-chatting with people. Of them, few continue to remain good friends. The bottom line could be that he learns something new during each trip.

This time it happened to be a tough task, he tried consoling a 1.5 year old crying baby... Trust me its the toughest task than satisfying my managers...hehe

Became "mama" to 4 children(awaiting 5th) officially.. ;)... With hand full of experience in that area, he cudn't pacify her so easily. Even though he possess such a huge personality, I have no idea why kids aren't scared of him. I guess may be he has a funny face...like Mr.Bean.. hehe ;)..

Anyway he managed to play Hi5 with her atlast, using the technique called talking to baby through mirror reflection. She was happy, I too was. But the worst part is when they depart and say bye-bye to him. Ofcourse, he understands that he has to deal with this kind of short journeys of life.
Each journey adds him memories of people he meets, situations, locations, natural views along side the tracks, smell(cant say its aroma) of bad railway coffee(hot water), different cultured people from different religions, different parts of the country/world. His brain retains the experience he gains from each trip.

Human life consists of so many short train journeys. Some catch the right train, some miss it, some find alternative, some are delayed,.. etc., now dont ask me abt the ones who cancel their tickets(that too cleverly before chart preparation). Time may defer their successes but never fails to give a chance.
We always cant have choice at our lives. People let go of their great chances of opportunity both in professional and personal relationships for the benefit of others. Follow life as it comes, like a river don't interrupt it otherwise you will miss some beautiful random experiences from nature goddess.

Curse of Love

---------- Clueless Romeo ------------------

You are my curse..
you are my happiness..
you are part of me..

The more i try to hurt you
the more i feel the pain..

the more i try to forget you
the more i remember you

the more i wanna go away from you
the more I wanna get near u,

is this the curse of love or being loved...
is this curse prevailing for all these centuries..

O' Love, You hurted even the mighty kings n queens
taking pleasure, killing each n everyday

please spare me, an ordinary human
banish the anathema spelled on us
before it engulfs completely everything...

Giving up the pain

You cant give up in a battle field... there are only 2 choices.. either you win or die there.. sustain the pain. Pain is an effective potion for a successful future. It is a teacher, mentor, guru etc., by itself. Few perish as they cudnt withstand the pain, few over come the pain, few live with the pain. The dangerous part is those who live with it. It perishes not only them but people surrounding them.

Everyone faces the battle field in their own perspective. The perspective of life changes when people change... when they look from different angle. Life changes and Relieves the pain. Smallest of the pain is necessary to see the brighter side. To identify the opposite, the happiness.

Even though I hate to watch cricket

Even though I hate to watch cricket, I (nobody) cannot deny this one great man’s achievement. We are lucky to witness the greatness in our life time. Time and time they proved that the champs have similar qualities. Roger Federer also disproved his critics after a comeback to claim his crown, the king of tennis.

I have already discussed in one of my old article that Cricket is religion in India and SACHIN the GOD (http://balajeestalkamania.blogspot.com/2006/09/why-i-hate-cricket.html). He proved it again that he is worth to worship as god of cricket.

All the champions have similar qualities as described by Paulo Coelho, they are like warriors of heaven and earth. Warriors never gave up, they rise again and again as Phoenix. Sachin was no different when his house was attacked @ mumbai few years back, like dhoni's and Ganguly's. Federer once cried "God,.... why is it happening to me ,...." when entire world was watching him lose twice in a row to Nadal, the nemesis. He turned into ash by critics and proclaimed his retirement time.

A Tale from Persia

When he was young, Cosroes (later on Cosroes I) had a master who managed to make him an outstanding in all subjects he learned. One day, for no apparent reason, the master punished him very severely.

Years after when Cosroes succeeded to the throne, the first measure he took was to send for his childhood master and demand an explanation for the injustice he had comitted.

" Why did you punish me without my having deserved it?" he asked.
" When I saw your intelligence, I realized right away that you would inherit your father's throne," answered the master. "And so I decided to show you how injustice is capable of marking a man for the rest of his life. I hope that you will never chastise anyone without reason"

Got A Letter from a friend - written by a frnd

Hi ,

I would like to bring 2 every1's notice that romeo is a split personality of an innocent (thats what he keeps saying) person called Bala G

And i happen to know both of them.

Romeo :
The one with multiple talents
An Artist
Free Health Adviser
Crazy Bike Rider
Die Hard fan of Arnold.
Fun loving.

Bala G:
The innocent one
Sensitive
Emotional

*******************************************************************************************
In general,

Coz i get confused as to whom i am with @ times.

He plays this stupid trick of switching characters when ever i ask him a Question that he doesnt want or rather know to answer.

A very cheerful person, never takes anything seriously (even his work).

So Romeo takes over when ever Bala G gets emotional .

He shares all his happiness with every1 and his sorrows only to romeo.

ok coming to romeo's blog.

I like his insights. His blogs speaks his mind. One can easily relate his blogs with their own life.
A very cheerful person, never takes anything seriously (even his work).

I dont want u to publish this .... i know u have this habit of doing things when some one asks u not 2 do it. Dont try that dirty trick here.

U give me your word then may be i'll add few more points to this .
