Betrayal of a friend- a story

During college days Romeo's friends and acquaintances thought him as a cool, non-emotional, witty and a prankster kid. As he don’t believe in too much emotional bonds and basically never had good idea about “LOVE” on those days. May be he haven’t met the right one or he was afraid of the word “Breakup” or may be he was not interested in long term relationships. Later when he met the right person he realized he was wrong but that’s another story.

This cool boy image had its impact on him by the betrayal of his own friend. Yes, the right word is “betrayal”. His friend Mr.Y (don’t ask the name; he too may be reading it some time) loved someone who is also a friend to Romeo, (Ms.G2). Mr. Y was afraid to tell him about this affair. (Not long he came to know that she rejected him). As both spent a lot of time with each other every day, Mr.Y knows it very well that romeo thinks love is a hormonal game played at that age.

Mr.Y could have convinced romeo that his love is not just outcome of chemical reactions. He won’t be reacting hardly to him, rather would have understood his feeling for her. At least why are the friends for, if you think they can’t understand you? he can’t blame him alone; he too was very casual always.
